Mama’s Night Out with Social Common

I am not new to the blogging world, but this is a new blog to me.  I am trying to rebrand and rebuild and bring you a more authentic me! I’ve been getting some great feedback and I hope you are all enjoying!  This year I really want to focus more on my blog, and what better way to do that, then a fun night out to meet some fellow blogger and vlogger mamas! I was invited by the lovely Katie Spinks to a fun event in Toronto! Hey a night out in heels, with wine and no kids is always a good time! I didn’t really know what to expect as I hadn’t been to an event like this before, but I had a great time! Social Common LIVE is an event hosted by 2 hilarious and fabulous ladies, Natalie and Catherine.  They are best friends bonded by motherhood, and have 7 kids between them.  They tape their show, every Tuesday evening with a live audience, bringing in experts and partnering with brands.  They keep you laughing with their, “go where others won’t go” approach and I found myself quite inspired by them.  They are real, they are funny, and their homes are instagram drool worthy. Great conversations were had, and connections made.  I learned a lot from the experts, Alyson Schafer who is a parenting expert and author.  I feel equipped to handle any sibling arguments now using her advice. We also had the pleasure of meeting Jaclyn Colville, she is a Hamilton based blogger and is a DIY Expert.  We learned how to make a sexy Kimono in very little time with very little costs! Will definitely be trying that out in the future!

Here is the live taping of the show.

Also you need to go to their youtube channel and check out the “Instagram Moms” Video.  I was literally laughing out loud to the whole thing. Their “Mom truth” videos are hilarious as well! All in all, it was a great night and I hope I get invited back sometime!

Update:  Social Common has rebranded to the Cat and Nat Show and they do Facebook lives everyday at noon.
